Exhibition Details
The Cincinnati Arts Association and the Weston Art Gallery in the Aronoff Center for the Arts presents Lithographic Works from Mark Patsfall Graphics. The Patsfall exhibition coincides with the Cincinnati Art Museum’s city-wide celebration of the 200th anniversary of lithography.
Mark Patsfall Graphics, established in 1981, has evolved from its humble origins in Patsfall’s home garage to its present location on Clay Street in downtown Cincinnati, to become one of the premiere fine art presses in the region. Patsfall has collaborated for nearly two decades with regional, national, and international artists to produce prints of the finest quality in all printmaking mediums. This exhibition will focus on lithographic works produced at the press since its inception and will include selected lithographs from Cincinnati Portfolio I & II, with prints by Kim Burleigh, Peter Huttinger, C. V. Mansoor, Kelly McKaig, Brent Riley, and Bruce Riley. Additional portfolios include Nine Summer Haiku by Rich Bitting, a suite of nine prints that serve as a musical score, and The Fluxfax Portfolio, a suite of thirty-five hand pulled lithographs from artwork faxed by thirty-five Fluxus artists from around the globe. Individual works from Nam June Paik, Bern Porter, and Key Rosen will also be featured.
