Matthew Brian TaylorScience, Magic, Read It, Do ItDo your students like magic, but dislike science? Would you believe that some of the greatest magic tricks ever performed would be impossible without it? Join a magician in pulling great illusions out of a science textbook instead of a top hat. In this tour de force program, learn how a magician makes water do his bidding, captures a genie in a bottle, stirs the wind and creates rings of smoke. All three types of magic-Sleight of Hand, Optical Illusion and Chemical Change-will be demonstrated using basic science principles and safe practices for experiments. Available as a performance or workshop. Recommended Ages: Grades K-12
