Collaboration with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra
The Overture Awards is pleased to announce a collaboration with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra to provide instrumental students with access to four great programs throughout the symphony season. You may register for one or all of these programs. They include the lecture or workshop, lite dinner, Classical Conversations – pre-concert lecture and up to four symphony tickets for you and your parents.
- November 1, 2008: Backstage Careers & Concert Production
- January 31, 2009: Marketing and Public Relations; How does marketing a symphony differ from corporate marketing?
- March 28, 2009: Composer in Residence – Jeffrey Mumford – What happens when a piece is commissioned? How does the creative process work?
- April 18, 2009: The Audition Process – Presentations by Ken Lam, Conductor of the Cincinnati Symphony Youth Orchestra and Paul Hilner, Asst. Dean for Admissions and Student Services, UC-College Conservatory of Music.
