Interactive Performance

This interactive performance features a wide variety of American Roots music, spanning the last century, from jazz and folk songs to show tunes and original material. Wild Carrot demonstrates and discusses the history and geography of the music and the people who brought it to this country, including such instruments as guitar, mandolin, concertina, lap dulcimer, penny whistle and banjo. This performance can connect to various curriculum areas.

Recommended Ages: Grades K-6

Length: 50 minutes

Cost: $450 first session/$150 each additional

Technical Needs

• Artist Arrival: 1 hour prior to performance
• Organization representative should meet the artist and show them to the presentation area.
• Two to three students needed to assist the artist with unloading equipment.
• The artist would like an organization representative to introduce them.
• Equipment needed by the artist: Electrical outlets, small table
• Large gathering space is suitable for this presentation.
• Please provide drinking water for the artist.
