this interactive performance, P. Ann Everson-Price celebrates pioneers
from the Jazz era of Swing to the soul-wrenching styles of Gospel to
the Sounds of Motown, while demonstrating how they influence the music
we know and love today. Sharing stories of music legends’ struggles,
triumphs, and tragedies, she illustrates that if you believe in
yourself and remain committed, despite the challenges, you can
accomplish anything.

Technical Needs

Artist Arrival: 60 minutes prior to presentation
- Organization representative should meet the artist and show her to the presentation area.
- The artist would like an organization representative to introduce her.
- Audience participation encouraged, artist will select during presentation.
- Equipment needed by artist: an electrical outlet
- Classroom or large gathering space is suitable for this presentation.
Minimum amount of space needed for presentation: 7’ x 4’
- Please have drinking water provided for the artist.
