Conversations with a Sisterfriend

Utilizing the oral tradition of storytelling, Annie Ruth candidly, but in a life-affirming and positive way, discusses many of the issues impacting girls, young women, and adult women. She reaches women from all walks of life, utilizing the genres of poetry and prose to address topics such as self-image, relationships, and overcoming adversity.

Recommended Ages: Grades 7-Adult

Length: 45-60 minutes

Cost: $500 first session/$250 each additional

Supply Fee (optional): $150 (each participant receives a copy of either Annie Ruth's Conversations with a Sisterfriend or The Making of a Sista Friend)

Technical Needs

• Artist Arrival: 30 minutes prior to presentation
• Organization representative should meet the artist and show her to the presentation area.
• The artist would like an organization representative to introduce her.
• Equipment needed by the artist: Electrical Outlets
• Classroom space is suitable for this presentation.
• Please provide drinking water (at room temperature) for the artist.
