Emerging Arts Leaders Creative ConversationsArts Leaders to Discuss Professsional Development Tuesday, October 30, 2007 • 3:00 – 5:30 PM • Aronoff Center, Center Stage Room Cincinnati Arts Association has partnered with Americans for the Arts to host an Emerging Arts Leaders Creative Conversation, which brings together local emerging arts leaders to discuss challenges specific to their age group and experience, and issues regarding the arts in their communities. Cincinnati’s Creative Conversation will take place on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 from 3:00 – 5:30 PM in the Aronoff Center’s Center Stage Room (adjacent to the Weston Art Gallery’s 7th Street entrance). Creative Conversations are part of National Arts and Humanities Month programs coordinated by Americans for the Arts. Creative Conversations are free and open to all arts professionals with an interest in emerging leader issues. Last year, more than 1,000 emerging arts leaders participated in 57 locally-hosted Creative Conversations held throughout the country, including Cincinnati. The 2007 Creative Conversation in Cincinnati will continue a discussion of issues raised at last year’s event. The focus will be on professional development – what are the needs and hindrances to providing professional development opportunities. Both emerging leaders and current arts leaders are invited to participate. Each group will have its own break-out discussion about the issue, and then the two groups will come together for a discussion. For more information or to register for the event, call (513) 977-4119 or visit www.CincinnatiArts.ORG/eal. The month-long celebration, coordinated by Americans for the Arts, has become the largest annual celebration of the arts and humanities in the nation. With 45 years of service, Americans for the Arts is dedicated to representing and serving local communities and creating opportunities for every American to participate in and appreciate all forms of the arts. More information about Americans for the Arts, Creative Conversations, and National Arts and Humanities Month is available at www.AmericansForTheArts.org. Robert L. Lynch, president and CEO of Americans for the Arts, said, “Emerging Arts Leaders Creative Conversations recognize the collective drive that occupies the vibrant and innovative minds of the next generation of arts leaders. They allow a specific group of arts leaders to discuss challenges specific to them, compare experience in the field, discuss community issues, and brainstorm how to connect with the greater community of young leaders in the region.” The Cincinnati Arts Association (CAA) is a not-for-profit organization that oversees the programming and management of two of the Tri-state’s finest performing arts venues – the Aronoff Center for the Arts and Music Hall. Each year, CAA presents a diverse schedule of events and features the work of talented local, regional and national artists in the Weston Art Gallery. CAA supports the work of more than a dozen resident companies, including the Cincinnati Ballet, Cincinnati May Festival, Cincinnati Opera, Cincinnati Symphony/Pops, and Fifth Third Bank Broadway Across America – Cincinnati. Since the inception of its acclaimed arts education programs in 1995, CAA has reached nearly three-quarters of a million students. | TICKETS & EVENTS
